This process challenged me in the best ways that I didn’t expect. For me, it dug deep into self esteem and identified some repetitive cycles– seeing where it came from. Learning to trust myself again with food, stopping the mindset that I have to restrict to lose weight. Becoming increasingly more aware of “diet culture” and what media I was constantly in-taking and how it wasn’t helpful. Most importantly, I learned that I wasn’t alone in how I was feeling by having a chance to connect with other women throughout the process.
